Eyeglasses FAQs

Do I Need an Eye Exam Before Getting Glasses?

Before getting your eyeglasses, you will need an exam. Even if you already have a prescription for lenses, your vision can change over time. Our optometrist wants you to have an active role in your eye health, and with regular vision tests and eye exams, you can keep track of any changes in your eyesight that could affect your glasses. Once you have a prescription from an optometrist, we can get lenses and frames for you.

Can I Have an Eye Exam Elsewhere?

At Today’s Vision, we care about your vision so much that we will even fill a prescription you got from another optometrist. Of course, we'd love for you to meet our eye doctor, but we will honor recent prescriptions for corrective lenses from other doctors. Just bring it to our opticians to get the glasses you want with the lenses you need.

What Types of Frames Can I Choose?

The frames you choose play a significant role in how you look with your glasses. Changing the frames can make certain features of your face stand out more. To ensure you get the perfect frames for your face shape, we have 700 different frames for you to choose from. In addition to a wide variety of styles, we also have well-known brands.

Do I Have a Choice for Lenses?

While your eye doctor gives you a prescription for the vision correction aspect of your glasses' lenses, you have options when it comes to the features of those lenses. Talk to our opticians about anti-reflective lenses that cut down on glare, sunglasses, blue-light filtering lenses, and more. Check out our eyeglasses guide to make choosing your glasses easier.
